1907 Itala 36/45 v1.0 - Assetto Corsa

NO FRONT BRAKES:
As in real life, the rear drum brakes are activated only by the handbrake, the brake pedal only activates a weak band brake on the driveshaft. You will need to use both to maximize the car's performance.

Features:

  • Nine paint schemes.
  • Custom accurate engine sounds.
  • Animated feet/pedals, animated handbrake, and animated shifting.
  • Animated water movement in radiator viewport.
  • Animated leafspring suspension.
  • Historically accurate white rubber tires.
  • Uses CSP's extended physics to better simulate engine wear and damage. Power reduces as the engine takes damage, at 50% damage a 2% reduction in power, at 90% damage a 50% reduction in power. Additionally there are chances for misfiring, (reducing performance for a moment), at 25% damage a 10% chance of misfiring, at 75% damage a 70% chance of misfiring.
  • Engine has additional features added via custom Lua Code. This includes, damage to the front of car causing the water temperature to rise, if water temperature rises over 95 degrees then the engine loses power, and if water temperature rises over 101 degrees then the engine breaks.
  • The tires also got some custom Lua code, and the tyres now blow if pressure exceeds 75 psi.

REQUIRED:
1. Custom Shaders Patch.
2. TURN OFF TIRE WARMERS in Setup options before race!

About the Car:
The Itala 36/45 racecar was powered by a 7.4L I4 engine, which churned out a modest 45hp. Despite its weight and power constraints, the Itala Grand Prix racecar earned a reputation for its reliability on the racetrack. Manufactured in the Itala factory located in Torino, Italy, this iconic vehicle was piloted by Henri Fournier to an 8th place finish at the U.S. Grand Prix in Savannah. Two other 36/45's would race regularly at Brooklands until 1914.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is one of the very first 3d models we developed, back in late 2019 through early 2020. The 3d model mesh is not to the same standard as our current projects, but rather shows the talents of several amateur modders back when we first began the journey that created what HSS is today.
