1934 Maserati 8CM Grand Prix v1.03 - Assetto Corsa

The Historic Sim Studios team is proud to present the first of our 1934-1935 Grand Prix cars for Assetto Corsa, our 1934 Maserati 8CM.

History of the Car:
The 1934 Maserati 8CM was powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged straight-eight engine that could produce up to 240 horsepower. The car had a top speed of around 155 miles per hour and could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just over 6 seconds. It featured a 400mm drum brake on each wheel and a lightweight chassis which gave it rather pleasant handling characteristics. The car debuted in 1933 and won the 1933 Belgian GP. Unfortunately, in 1934 the car would be outshone by the silver arrows as the 8CM did not have the horsepower or luck necessary to bring home a victory in 1934, although it was competitive throughout the season.

1934 Maserati 8CM Features:

Historically accurate physics based upon researched data. We also have used CSP extended physics to include more accurate additional physics simulation:

  • Multiple contact point tires (no longer limited to a single contact point) with RainFX support.
    • Engine damage model, where the engine will gradually lose power with damage when beyond 50% of its health, then at 25% the engine will start to have throttle cuts.
    • Advanced fuel consumption code.
    • Suspension physics improvements.
  • Finely tuned AI.
  • Ten historically accurate paint schemes that include actual driver names.
  • Custom 8CM engine sounds.

REQUIRED:
Custom Shaders Patch by Ilja
